I can’t believe we are already into February.  Where I live, we have almost tripled the amount of snow we got last year.  I don’t think spring weather is coming anytime soon so figuring out how to make my bedroom a little warmer and cozier is top on my list.

I personally like to spend time in my bedroom. I strive for a luxurious look while getting that cozy, comfortable feeling as well. Your bedroom isn’t just another room. Ways to Make Your Room Cozier For Winter

I also like to layer my bedding in the winter with extra warm blankets in case we get cold.  Who am I kidding? I really mean if I get cold.  My husband always has a fan on and I’m always wrapped in the extra blankets.  I also like to keep baskets of blankets and pillows in the room in case our kids want to hang out and watch tv with us.

Adding texture to the room also makes the room feel cozier.  There are several ways you can add texture to a bedroom. Some of my favorite ways are to add rugs, curtains, and lots of big, soft pillows. Doing these things can immediately warm up a room.

Try styling your bed in multiple ways to see what looks best. Using Crane and Canopy bedding and some of their mixed decor pieces to add texture will give you a more cohesive and custom look.

If you have space, create a cozy sitting area. Sometimes you want to be in your room to unwind, but you’re not ready to go to bed.  This area is the perfect spot to read, work on bills, or check some emails before going to bed.  Your sitting area should be another focal point of the room, but should be its own little space off to the side. It should not be a place to just collect your clothes or bags from your day.  Keep it nice and it will add an extra calming element to your room.

This will make your room beautiful and cozy while keeping it practical as well.
