Merry Christmas 2018 from the Elys

I wanted to take time today and wish you a merry Christmas from our family to yours.  I hope you have enjoyed all the Christmas posts this year. I have done 3 posts a week since the end of November.  Check back through a couple of weeks if you think you might have missed some.  I usually let people know there is a new post by linking it on Facebook.  However, I do not want to spam my Facebook page so I will keep an eye on this data.  If it gets to be too much I will only put the link on my Jenn Ely Interiors Facebook page. If I change back to 2 times a week, I will let you know.

These pictures were taken at our annual Founder’s Inn brunch.  We have done this since my daughter was 2 and she turned 19 this year.  We started this tradition in 2001 doing the Santa breakfast.  Santa would sing a couple songs and then be there for the kids to tell him what they wanted.  I loved this because I never had to wait in line for my kids to get their picture with Santa at a crowded mall.  They also had elves to do face paint and balloon animals.  It was fun for the kids and set a nice tradition for our family.  The Saturday breakfast is also a little more kid-friendly in what they served.

As my kids got older we ended up switching to the Sunday brunch which is more for adults.  They have amazing food, a pianist, and beautiful Christmas decor.  Here are some pictures of my family that we took from the event this year.  If you are interested in attending I would caution you to make your reservations for this before Thanksgiving.  I waited one year after Thanksgiving and it is the only year we didn’t get to go because they were booked solid.

Please leave me a comment below telling me one of your family traditions.  I love hearing all about what other people do and how they spend their Christmas.
